  Hotel manager

  Take charge of the day-to-day management of one of our hotels in the Kempen, in close cooperation with the group's central services.

  Corsendonk Hotels is a Belgian family-owned hotel group headquartered in Turnhout, in the heart of the Kempen. Our hotels are located in distinctive settings and combine warm hospitality with a wide range of room types. Alongside a restaurant, bar and breakfast service, they offer spaces for meetings, events, parties and weddings, welcoming business guests as well as families and groups. For the Kempen region, we are looking for a driven, people-minded hotel manager.

  Hotel management

  • Optimising the hotel's operational, commercial and financial performance
  • Managing the various departments
  • Overseeing technical maintenance of the building, together with the technical department
  • Identifying structural bottlenecks and proposing improvements
  • Management by walking around (garden, corridors, rooms, function rooms …)
  • Following up, monitoring and managing suppliers and outsourcing partners
  • Maintaining contacts with (potential) suppliers, customers and third parties
  • Monitoring safety and permits

  Commercial

  • Monitoring guest satisfaction and adjusting where necessary
  • Ensuring reservations, check-in and check-out, room service and housekeeping are handled correctly
  • Maintaining contact with the local community
  • Launching innovations based on guest needs or market demand
  • Being visible and approachable for staff and guests
  • Incoming sales and limited outgoing sales
  • Exchanging information with the sales team
  • Customer loyalty and follow-up, e.g. proactively contacting returning guests

  Leadership

  • Coaching and supporting hotel staff
  • Recruiting, selecting and training new staff
  • Ensuring efficient staff scheduling
  • Motivating, selecting, evaluating and coaching students, flexi workers, interns and extras

  Your profile

  • Degree in hotel management, tourism or equivalent through experience
  • Relevant experience in the hotel industry, including several years in a management role (e.g. hotel manager, operations manager or assistant manager)
  • You speak fluent Dutch and express yourself excellently in French and English
  • A natural leader with strong people skills who motivates and develops a team
  • Customer-focused, resilient under pressure and flexible — a hotel runs 7 days a week, which occasionally involves evening and weekend work
